THE CULTURE

Whether it be a pool competition, poker nights in the office, or external company nights out our Social Secretary is responsible for creating an entertaining and social environment. As well as promoting collaboration across the business, we look to engage with staff and take on board feedback to look at ways that we can continue to improve as a business. We have a Charity Secretary who is responsible for overseeing our fundraising targets, by organising optional events as well as company-wide events aimed at giving back to the local community. All staff are actively encouraged to participate and are offered flexible working to participate in charitable work.

WHO WE ARE

Sartre is a young recruitment company that likes to do things differently. Headquartered in Shoreditch, our office is easily accessible by public transport and surrounded by a host of bars, restaurants and street food. We also opened our first international office in Manhattan (May 2018). Sartre has a key focus on providing recruitment solutions to companies within the financial markets, in particular working with hedge funds, banks and proprietary trading companies recruiting in Quantitative Research, Algorithmic Trading, and Technology & Infrastructure space. We also have a sister company specialising in legal and compliance. Our methodology is underpinned by a desire to deliver & maintain an exceptional level of service to our clients. We work together as a collective to continue to raise the bar. Inter-team and cross-team collaboration is actively promoted in the business with the common goal of improving ourselves as recruiters by striving for excellence.

As our employees progress into more senior roles, our training is designed to reflect the actual demands of the job and make sure they conduct themselves in line with our core values. We also have recently implemented a separate management development program with the aim to continue to raise the bar for leadership across the business.
