If you’re a football fan, you’ll know Roy Keane.
If you’re not, I’ll try and describe him.
A ferocious midfield general, Roy made a name for himself on the pitch as a tough-tackling, no nonsense marauder usually flying in knee-high.
In his later years, Roy’s taken to TV punditry. This is due to his unbridled love of both being filmed, and being around people.
Roy’s zest for life is truly contagious.
It’s his joie de vivre which endears his fans. And his beautiful winding analogies and poetic, pulsating prose captivates the viewer at every opportunity.
Sadly, this is often restricted to a few moments before games and in the “half time show” – which, much like the Super Bowl is spared no expense.
Today, instead of Roy reacting to football, he’s reacting to recruitment.
Huge thanks to Roy for lighting up our lives.
See you again soon.
