There’s an opportunity to join our market leading Financial Services team to manage Junior Permanent hiring from entry level up to £50,000 (Senior Adviser / Junior Manager equivalent). Our team cover roles including; HR Generalist, Learning & Talent, Graduate & Experienced Hire Recruitment, Employee Relations, HR Projects, Employee Relations & Policy, HR Operations & Diversity & Inclusion.
Our Financial Services team consists of 10 strong performing Consultants each of which have balanced portfolios across; Investment Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Private Equity, Trading etc. Clients include; HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Blackrock, RSA, QBE, Chubb Insurance etc. We partner with 500+ FS clients as a team and work collaboratively from a candidate sourcing & client management perspective to support each other with day-to-day hiring (we have a no candidate ownership policy). We have 5 Consultants on the permanent side & 5 Consultants on the interim side. The Junior perm FS team consists of this role + one other strong Consultant and you would pair up daily from a candidate generation and management perspective.
You will typically be managing 8 -12 jobs at a time, making circa 25 – 30 placements per year with an average fee of circa £8k per placement (desk value circa 180 – 250k on average). This is deemed to be one of the warmest desks in the business, however it is a fast paced market at this level so you will need to work hard to source and manage candidates and clients. Your roles will primarily all contingent with circa 20 - 30% exclusive hires (most of which will be with FS boutiques). You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of circa 150 – 200 existing clients & also spend circa 25% of your week building new business (BD) pairing up with the rest of the FS team & business. You will also over time / level dependent become an Account Manager for a number of Oakelaf Accounts.
Reporting Lines: You would report directly in to Alan Hewett (Manager of our Junior Perm FS Business). Guidelines of weekly activity: You would typically meet with 5 – 7 candidates, 2 – 4 clients, drive internal Oakleaf and / or FS events (to support ongoing BD activity), advertise all jobs & review all job applications, likely be spending 1-2 hours a day speaking on the phone with your clients and candidates, sourcing candidates via Linkedin & job boards.
