Our story

To fill the gap where traditional recruitment companies have failed, like-minded market leaders Andrew Keayes and Matt Beath joined forces to merge Ethos Corporation and BeathChapman, leading executive recruitment firms they each founded, to become Ethos BeathChapman, the EBC you know today. Today, EBC is over 100-strong, with seven offices worldwide and a part of the Nikkei-listed Will Group, Inc. We also own Quay Appointments Pty Ltd and CONNECT, our projects and managed solutions company. EBC is the Asia Pacific member of Access Search Partners (ASP), the largest global partnership of technology search firms.

In an industry with no barrier for entry, we believe experience matters when dealing with something as important as a person’s career. Our philosophy is simple – we don’t hire consultants unless they have chosen recruitment as a career and spent years learning the trade. To us that means thousands of hours spent analysing job briefs and understanding job functions, learning about industry practices and organisational structures, strategically sourcing and building relationships with candidates, interviewing and assessing talent, selecting shortlists, managing employment brands, sensitive situations, interview processes and recruitment cycles, and developing long standing customer relationships based on trust and credibility. We take the responsibility we are given by our customers and candidates seriously. Our value promise is impossible to keep without a level of expertise that only comes with experience.
