Technology practice

Tech is led by Dave who joined more or less as soon as we launched, having worked with the founders before. His team has plenty of junior team members, what it really needs now is heavyweight experience; the plan is to double the team in 2019. This makes us very flexible about who we hire into the new role, or roles. Essentially, if you have experience, we are up for a discussion! Our growth plans mean we'll need people at more or less every level, contract and perm specialists across the tech spectrum. If you can prove you've got what it takes, get in touch and tell us about it.

Earnings potential

Looking for experience! After taking on a number of trainee's / 2nd jobbers, we're looking for more people to guide and mentor them at Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant level. The salary shown is just a guide, and is stripped down before commission. Lets get talking about your experience, this is what will influence what we offer. Commission potential is on a par with the best in the industry plus we offer additional incentives including flexi-time, a stretch bonus and a team bonus.

Culture

Life in the office is a combination of hard work, humour and good-natured competition. We are all about the customer and the delivery of a quality service and caring about outcomes for all as this is what will drive repeat business and nurture network growth. The office has a grown-up, professional vibe with an emphasis on supporting people, taking ownership and working autonomously. It isn't raised voices, egos and constant banter, it's colleagues helping each other and socialising together. Every person in the business has a different set of KPIs based on ability and sector. KPIs are used as a development tool and our hierarchy is used for progression rather than determining status in the office. Effort and performance are both rewarded and recognised.

Training

Training is a big part of getting to the next level, but it's a very individual thing. Rather than follow a set course, you'll work with your manager to craft a programme that's all about you and where you want to take your career. There are 3 components to all training programmes: - Class based, delivered by an external specialist - Internal modular courses run by senior Boston Hale people - At-desk mentoring, guidance, help and support from everyone - your team, manager, peers, the MD.

Progression

Opportunities to progress are there for the taking. The proof? Our new Managers both started out 3 years ago as Associates - trainees with zero recruitment experience. They rose through the ranks, earning promotion to Consultant, Senior Consultant, Principal and now Manager Alexandra and Catherine now run their own business areas and teams, and they still bill too. More responsibility, more challenges, more money in the space of just 3 years. The majority of our Consultants, Seniors and Principals have also got there through hard work and rapid promotion. There really are no limits to what you can achieve.
