Our Culture

• At Nicoll Curtin, we promote feedback that is direct, honest and kind. • Our leaders are on the sales floor with us, no one has a private office or private agendas. • We promote inclusion in everything we do, ensuring our benefits and incentives cater to everyone's tastes, not just the partying kind. • We're not into unhealthy competition. We don't fight for roles or companies, and we're not pitched against each other. • We have a great working environment. It's bright, airy and our tech is cutting edge. • We promote health and wellbeing, with benefits like Medicash, free fruit and cereal. • We're all about work/life balance. So you won't be glued to your desk every night or weekend.

You have the best people, you win. It’s simple. It’s what we deliver for our clients and the principle by which we live. Our people are our asset, so we hire the best and support them to thrive and be happy. That’s why we’re so passionate about Diversity & Inclusion. Talent is talent.

Pay up to 25k into a fund and we'll match it up to 100%

We didn’t become our clients’ top performing agency by following the herd. We’re here to ensure our customers have an outstanding future. For that, homogeneous thinking won’t do. So we encourage everyone to be inventive. And take the long-term view.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

We believe in the power of diversity and how it drives a high-performance business. We get it because we live it ourselves and are constantly learning new ways to improve. We work in an environment where diversity, including diversity of thought, is the norm. We’ve been recognised by the Enei for having an “Inclusive Culture”. From 2014 to 2015 we changed our female management percentage from 10% to 42%. Our management mix, and overall employee mix, is highly diverse across gender and ethnicity.

It's the decisions you make when no one's looking. Treating everyone with respect regardless. Holding fundraisers. Volunteering our skills to those who need them. After all, if what you’re doing isn’t helping someone, it’s not worth doing.

No one’s born outstanding. You have to work at it. But it’s not enough to be the best. You need the best team. We’ve been voted as one of the best companies to work for because our people are our foundation. And we love what we do.

Learning & Development

We develop our people holistically – job skills, mental skills and life skills. Trainees: Trainees are taken through a modular induction programme, layered for a manageable learning curve, including classroom, desk-side and online training as well as a suite of tools and materials to help on the job. Progress checks measure whether Trainees are on track or where support is needed. Consultants: Training and development is available to staff throughout their career at Nicoll Curtin. Consultants receive support on key topics, as well as any personal needs identified in their reviews, to drive best practice, efficiency and productivity. Leaders: We run a Future Leaders’ and a New Leaders’ Programme for consultants on a fast-track to management. We have a full time Head of L&D and partners like Prof Steve Peters (Olympic psychologist).

Flexibility

We promote work flexibility and work/life balance. Executive Consultants are given a Friday afternoon off every single week (yes, that's an additional 20 days leave a year!)
