Living in a city as beautiful as Newcastle makes it easy to spend plenty of time outside. Alex often surfs at lunchtime, while Jess and Linda go for a walk or to the gym. Ben is a PT and works out at his home gym, but keeps the rest of us honest with exercise programs if we ask him nicely. Of course, there are days when we will all eat at our desk because we are too busy to leave! Ben and Jess have a long-running battle for supremacy on the ping pong table, while Alex is an occasional battler and Linda is usually working. We are a small team, and know everyone well enough to give each other space when space is needed. We are sociable and while things have been known to get loose from time to time, we're generally pretty tame. Friday lunchtimes we will often go for a feed and a few drinks at the local pub (across the road!) The Lucky.

G'day, my name is Alex Brennan and I founded ASR Recruitment in 2018 safe in the knowledge that a business that acts with the best interests of all its stakeholders in mind will always succeed. I grew up on a sheep farm outside Warren, in Central West NSW, and have started recruitment businesses in Sydney, Hong Kong and Melbourne. I have two young boys, and work hard to enjoy my life outside of work. I have worked hard to create an environment where everyone can make great money, enjoy a good lifestyle, and know that every day they will walk into a fun place to work. I'm a direct, hardworking, honest recruiter who is proud of the team we've built. p.s. I don't always have a moustache, but I am passionate about ending the stigma that surrounds mental illness and so I often participate in Movember. Not a bad mo, either, hey?

We've been involved in the Hunter Innovation Festival for years now, and often host technology-focused events due to our strong connection with the Startup, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency ecosystems. We are closely affiliated with the Newy Startups Meetup, IxDA Meetup and Big Data Meetup among others, and you will often see ASR sponsored pizza at these events. We're a social bunch, and love to get amongst our clients and candidates at informal occasions where we can learn more about what is happening in their part of the world.

There is no limit to how much you can earn at ASR, we offer a pretty generous commission plan and heaps of perks on top of it. We set our consultants a target of 3 x their Base Salary, divided by 12: * On billings over threshold and up to $25K= 20% commission * On billings over $25k = 30% commission * Hit your quarterly stretch target & earn 35% commission on everything over Consistency bonus: If you hit your target for 3 months in a row, you'll get a $3000 bonus. Keeping it up? You'll get an additional $1,000 bonus for each month you're in the black!
