A Trainee Consultant's role will be like that of a Consultant with the main difference being the level of autonomy. As a Trainee you will normally work closely with a more experienced consultant to ensure consistency and quality of work.

Maintaining a candidate database, using this to match the right person to the vacancy;
Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates through LinkedIn and cold calling
Qualifying a candidate’s experience / suitability for open positions
Using business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract new business;
Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, plus their work culture and
Working closely with clients to help identify their needs and provide them a realistic picture of the current job market;
Briefing the candidate on the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question;
Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients regarding suitable applicants;
Scheduling interviews between clients and potential candidates.
Informing candidates about the results of their interviews;
Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates;
Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media to attract candidates
Preparing / offering guidance to candidates on general and specific interview skills.
Working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, revenue billed to clients or business leads generated;

Skills and Experience
You will have strong written verbal communication and presentation skills and energy to over perform.
Work to a high standard driving for sales performance. Have strong customer first selling skills. Be comfortable to work under pressure, demonstrate sound business judgment, common sense and insight.
