We are The Agency; a full-service, boutique recruitment consultancy based in the Cayman Islands providing permanent, executive and temporary recruitment services to top-tier professional services companies based in Grand Cayman. Founded by industry leaders from competing Cayman firms, the Agency brings together an A-team of professionals who aspire to progress the recruitment industry in Cayman. WHAT'S ON OFFER?

This is not a bog-standard recruitment job. What we’re offering is the rare opportunity to essentially become a ‘cultural co-founder’ of The Agency. As a boutique consultancy, we know that our first consultant’s will become a part of The Agency’s legacy. You will determine the culture, shape the company’s direction and lead from the front.

WHAT'S THE DEAL?

We know that good talent is hard to find, so here’s what we are offering: • A TAX-FREE base salary of US$52,000-US$60,000 (GBP 40,000- 46,000), plus an excellent commission structure (no threshold) and annual bonus. • Relocation assistance (including a flight, temporary rental car and accommodation). • All relevant statutory benefits (health, pension etc.) • 20 days of annual leave. • Many other benefits including flexible working hours, birthday leave, time off for charity and volunteer work and much more.

CAYMAN LIFESTYLE

The Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Territory, encompassing three islands in the western Caribbean Sea. It consists of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Being the largest and most populated Island; Grand Cayman is known for its cosmopolitan vibe, gourmet restaurants, world-class diving and the famous Seven Mile Beach. Over 135 nationalities now call Cayman ‘home’, we are located less than an hour from Miami, Jamaica and Cuba which adds to the appeal of the Island. There are around 60,000 people on the islands, 50% of the population is made up of young, professional expats from the likes of the UK, US, Ireland, Australia, South Africa and Jamaica.

As a highly-ranked financial services centre globally, the Cayman Islands has long been regarded as one of the world's premier global financial hubs. It boasts a client-centric market prominent financial sectors such as banking, audit and hedge funds along with maintaining long-standing relationships with sophisticated international clients. As an offshore tax-free jurisdiction, Cayman imposes no personal income tax, local corporate tax or sales tax. Some of the world's biggest financial services providers and law firms have an office here: Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PWC, Citco, BNY Mellon.

WHAT INDUSTRIES DO WE RECRUIT FOR?

We recruit for small-medium and global large firms based in Cayman for roles with Cayman. We provide temporary, permanent and executive recruitment solutions, placing expats and local Caymanians. Main areas are finance and legal but can be broken down further and extended to: Banking and Finance (CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Accountants, Investment Managers, Directors, Compliance, Relationship Managers, Fund Administrators etc.) Legal (Partners, lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Secretaries in Corporate, Banking, Finance, Trust and Litigation) Trust (Trust Administrators, Trust Managers, STEP professionals) Funds (Portfolio Administrators, Fund Accountants, Fund Managers, VP/AVP of Funds) Hospitality (For the likes of The Kimpton, Westin, The Ritz Carlton, The Marriott)

CANDIDATE-DRIVEN OR JOB-DRIVEN?

There is no problem with pulling jobs here in Cayman, this is a candidate-driven market. With all the major financial services players and offshore law firms being here it's jobs galore but we don't take on everything. We're a premium brand, a business that takes quality serious; quality in terms of the types of jobs we work on, in the services we provide, in the candidates we deliver and in the candidate and client experience pride ourselves on. The challenge is sourcing the best available talent, leaving no stone unturned in our candidate attraction methods. We go above and beyond any other agency. We're big on our headhunting and referral efforts. This market is all about relationship so you can expect to be wining and dining your contacts regularly.

TEAM STRUCTURE

We're not a big, corporate outfit trying to become the next Michael Page, Robert Walters or Hays of the recruitment world. We're proud of being a tight team of A players. A small office environment consisting of a Director, 2 Recruitment Managers/Co-Founders, 4 Senior Recruiters, a Financial Controller and Recruitment Administrator. We will be growing steadily but we are more concerned with hiring the right people. We want people to stay, grow with the firm and get the genuine work/life balance they've been craving, in an adult environment. We have fun, but we work hard whilst we're at it.

HOT, COLD OR WARM DESK?

Cold calling will be a very rare part of your role. Almost every conversation you have will be with a warm contact on the client-side. Of course new businesses set up here all the time and new candidates arrive so the pool isn't limited but you won't find yourself cycle calling through endless meaningless lists. This is a completely relationship-orientated environment so as part of your onboarding you will be taken out to meet with our key clients and warm introductions will be made for you to take forward the relationships. A lot of the business we get is from existing business and the majority of top candidates will come to you via referral as long as you build solid relationships; your reputation will follow and it won't take long.
