YF Talent helps up and coming food businesses source influential early hires. You'll be placing make or break talent in to the newest and brightest food and drinks brands. They recruit grad to director level across all functions (ops, finance, marketing, sales, NPD) in to startups (1 to 30 people). We are looking for an experienced HR, Recruitment or People Management professional to join our senior team, responsible for running one of our core business units – HR & Recruitment services. This is a new role in the team, and offers great opportunities to shape the direction, growth and delivery for this business unit. This area of our business provides challenger brands with a full suite of People management services, namely: HR advisory (process setup, frameworks, issue resolution, etc.); Recruitment (graduate, experienced, interim and executive search); and Training and L&D (one/two day courses for FMCG topics, private training courses, etc.).
- We're in a truly unique position in the food and drink startup industry, and the Talent team are at the core of shaping and growing it. - We have targets and ambitions we want to hit, but we are not your standard KPI slaving recruitment firm. - There's no business development to do - only relationship management with the leaders of our community brands. - We are a small team, currently 4 but with ambitions to grow! That's part of a team of about 15 across the rest of the Young Foodies business, also looking to grow - As a recruiter, you'll get a great deal of autonomy and flexibility on working times that help you best operate as a recruiter.
- Leadership of a team delivering these services (currently 6 FTEs) - Responsibility for managing the full PnL (revenue, investment to deliver, etc.) - Contribute to business development by collaborating with our Growth Managers, leading key client conversations or pitches as the business unit lead - Create, challenge and revamp our value proposition and service offering = Ensure our services are commercially viable and profitable, working within set financial targets - Hands-on delivery of key high-value services (such as HR advisory) to our brands, delivering through the wider team where suitable - Steer and resolve escalated issues from the team in delivering these services - Ensure controls are in place and adhered to across the team

Our ideal candidate has deep experience across most of the above areas, with experience across multiple FMCG organisations, including some experience delivering consulting projects. They will be excited about leading an entire business unit and have a passion for supporting challenger brands with People management. They will be responsible for full PnL and delivery responsibilities, leading a team of currently 6 people. They will be expected to play a role in business development, proposition building and delivery to clients, delivering through our team where possible but able to get hands-on.
