Having fun in Disney
I joined Madison Parker in October 17 as a Resource Consultant which was my first role in recruitment. After my initial training and having been in the company for less than 6 months, an opportunity arose for me to take over the account management of one of the company’s most important accounts, a global technology player. To say I was thrust into the ‘front-line’ would be an under-statement but with the help of my manager and my very supportive colleagues, I was able to learn ‘on-the-job’ and am now delivering a high quality service into this client (even if I say so😊). Since then I have learned a huge amount about business, recruitment and about myself! I’m really grateful for this opportunity to develop my career in recruitment and thanks to Madison Parker for opening this door for me! Cheryl Pinontoan-Borkent – Recruitment Account Manager
Having arrived in Holland to support my husband in his career, I was offered an opportunity to join the Madison Parker team as a Resource Consultant in their office in the Hague. I have a background in HR and recruitment from my time at Accenture in India but moving to a new culture and business environment was both challenging and demanding. What I love about my current role is the diversity it offers as I could be placing a Project Manager one day and a Channel Sales Specialist the next. Every day presents a new set of challenges, especially the cross-border aspect. I’m working with experienced industry professionals and my learning curve has been steep but very satisfying. I’m loving the experience of working in mainland Europe and my sourcing and search skills are improving by the day! Meghana Chandrashekar – International Resource Consultant
Relaxing down town
We are located in The Hague (Den Haag in Dutch), the third largest city in the Netherlands, and seat of the Dutch government and Supreme Court. It is also home to the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. The Hague serves not only as the seat of government, but also as the residence of the Dutch royal family. One of the greenest cities in Europe, it has 516,000 inhabitants from 180 different nationalities. Although The Hague is often overshadowed by Amsterdam in terms of nightlife or attractions, this regal city has its own special charms for both visitors and residents. For example, the Hague hosts some of the most interesting museums and cultural institutions in the Netherlands such as Vermeer’s iconic Girl with a Pearl Earring painting in the Mauritshuis and the Mondriaan collection at Municipal Museum. The city also hosts several interesting festivals each year and is home to Scheveningen, by far the most beloved beach resort in the Netherlands.
