SIVAN, CEO & FOUNDER

Sivan is the founder of Joss Search and has worked in the recruitment industry for 15 years. She left school at 16 and was soon managing a local restaurant where she discovered her passion for providing exemplary service. She moved into recruitment and worked for several firms before deciding to set up Joss Search in 2010 to focus on finding the highest calibre candidates and staff regardless of their backgrounds. Quality is at the heart of everything she does

SABBATICALS

After 5 years working at Joss Search, we feel that it's a good time to take a proper break and gain some a fresh perspective. We therefore offer a 3 month, fully paid, sabbatical for anyone who reaches this milestone. Sally, one of our Senior Consultants who started life at JS as Sivan's PA and who has been with us for over 5 years is taking her sabbatical in March. She is heading off for an amazing trip to New Zealand to escape London and enjoy the great outdoors...I'm not sure she'll miss us as much as we'll miss her :)

Although she was an experienced EA, she had no prior recruitment experience and was prepared to start as a Associate Consultant to learn her trade. She (and continues!) displayed an outstanding attitude and thirst for knowledge which has led her become a top billing, Senior Consultant with management responsibilities

We believe better people make better Jossies and one of core values is to be constantly learning. We're therefore passionate about helping you become a better person as well as a better recruiter. We ensure you have clear recruitment and sector specific training through a mix of theoretical and practical learning. Everyone has a career development plan as well as role specific objectives which are check into weekly and quarterly respectively. For 2019 we're implementing a whole new external training program to develop the teams' sales, recruitment and business skills at all levels in the business. This will also include leadership and management training for all managers to ensure we help maximise everyone's development

We all share common values but we're a mixed bunch from a wide variety of backgrounds - the most important thing is that we work with nice, interesting people! We don't recruit from particular backgrounds or experience which means people join without preconceived ideas about our sector or recruitment in general. Our flexible working means that we're committed to giving people the chance to fit their lives around work. We believe this is something everyone should take advantage of and it is has been particularly helpful for Mums and Dads (including Sivan!) who are coming back following maternity leave, who able to fit parenting responsibilities around their work.

Helena became a Jossie in July 2016, initially as an Associate Consultant having spent four years managing talent at Foxton's head office. Within two years she progressed to being a Senior Consultant and now heads up the temporary team. Although she had no prior agency experience her outstanding attitude and the fact that she lives and breaths the Jossie values meant that we felt confident increasing her responsibilities rapidly

Jasmine became a Jossie In January 2017, having worked for 8 years at the England & Wales Cricket Board as a Commercial Partnerships Manager. She started as an Associate Consultant and quickly progressed to becoming a Consultant and as of January 2019 she been promoted again to a Senior Consultant with management responsibilities. Jazz has an incredible work ethic and drive to succeed in everything she does (some might say a tad competitive :))! She holds herself and the team to the highest standards which ensures we maintain a premium quality service for our clients and candidates

INFRASTRUCTURE

In the last 12 months we've been through a big period of change whereby we've changed almost all the processes and systems in the business! This means we now have a solid foundation for further growth. The most exciting change was our re brand which went live in May 2018. Other changes include: + new CRM (Talent Rover) + cloud based filing system to allow more effective remote working + Northstar (the equivalent of a Fit Bit for recruitment consultants!) which will help Consultants better manage their performance and career progression.
