We have a unique approach to leadership as a skill in its own right. Our leaders are all experts in their own industry sector or function as well as in recruitment and executive search, so they are ideally placed to help you develop your career and guide you to success. They are also the front line of our business, not hidden away in offices or behind spreadsheets, so they intrinsically know what makes great recruiters and how to develop them. All of our leaders work directly with our clients, providing consulting and advisory services, executing searches as well as placing candidates. This means that you will find Mathew Gollop, our Group MD, the Directors and Managers involved at a hands on level throughout the full service delivery cycle. We’re predominantly a permanent placement specialist but offer the platform to run contractors and have ambitions to grow our contract business. Our consultants are not restricted by geography and work across the wider Asia region (within guidelines for each office). We also believe that success should be celebrated - The Long Lunch is a ConnectedGroup tradition... and by long, we mean it starts at noon, and ends... well, when it ends. There can be two every quarter. One for the 100% Plus Club (for anyone who is achieving 100% or more of their personal objectives) and one for the whole office if we achieve our total revenue target for the quarter.

In addition to a market-leading reward structure and regular incentives, we support our staff to be as successful as they can be. We invest in our infrastructure - from Slack - the internal team communications platform, LinkedIn Recruiter accounts, a state-of-the art CRM that offers you remote access to the database from a mobile app to Broadbean for posting jobs and managing inflow of candidates. There is research support and open access to clients from day 1 - there is no client ownership and our account managers are there to give you access rather than be a barrier. We're on many major PSLs (both MNCs and sucessful local organisations) and our database has been built up and well-maintained over many years.

Transparency is key. You'll create a business plan for your desk during the interview process and targets are mutually agreed and clear from the start. Nobody is managed with KPI's by default and we have no blanket metrics - but we track and record everything so if people are not hitting their targets, we can analyse the data (including call times, activity metrics and LinkedIn Recruiter stats) to work back and set productivity targets and understand where improvements can be made. We understand every market is different and that alternative styles bring value and so we help people structure their approach on a bespoke basis.
Beyond our mission and values, we have developed a strong social purpose of "using recruitment as a lever to change lives" which has led us beyond just considering our professional impact to focusing on how we can positively influence our communities. Most recently we have been involved as the founding partner of www.recruit4good.com - a not-for-profit initiative in itself that aims to provide a job board and career portal at zero cost to the charitable sector.
There are no politics - this in part is due to the open channels to leadership. All our staff can voice their ideas or concerns directly to the management team and MD. Each Friday there is a roundup to keep everyone informed of what is happening in the organisation and to share success stories and progress. There is a fee split structure for referring jobs and our staff often co-broke deals. We take a mature approach to fee sharing and respect the division between industry specialists so there is no conflict over the recognition of revenue.
