We're entirely owned by our three Founders with no external shareholders or debt. This means we get to make decisions based on what's best for our company without worrying about a board of Directors who aren't involved day-to-day. All of our Founders still recruit. We really enjoy meeting people and winning business and never expect anything from you that we aren't able to help with first-hand.
The office is dress-down with music constantly playing, as well as day beds in case you ever need to nap! 🛌 You can choose your working hours (or even WFH) and the unlimited holiday means that you are never worried about having a day off. 🌴 We all work hard but reap the benefits of being entrusted with the freedom to choose when and how we work. Once you have proven your ability to work independently, there is no lurking over shoulders or unnecessary hourly KPI-driven targets.

It's important that you’re continuously supported. We have weekly Recruiter Hub training sessions which are great for going over basics but the conversations that ensue these sessions are even more useful - learning hints and tips from consultants’ with 12+ years’ experience in the industry. Sitting around one shared desk means if you have a question or want to run something past someone there is always someone around to offer advice or opinion. External development is encouraged just as much as internal means of training; you are given the freedom to choose anything from online courses to external events and talks / networking opportunities to go to.

We're based in Clerkenwell, in the Finsbury Business Centre. It's one of London's original shared office spaces...and was the starting point for many big brands including Colt Telecoms and Onefinestay.com ... we're hoping to channel their success! We have Exmouth Market and it's daily street food market on our door step...as well as some great venues such as the Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings. Plenty of good spots for after-work drinks in the sunshine. The Agora team are all in one office, with use of the FBC's shared facilities which include a high quality canteen (Great French chef with daily changing menus); a roof terrace ; sound proof pods for Skype calls; and meeting rooms to book for clients.

Agora’s compensation package is above market rate, you are incentivised to do right by your client whatever the solution is and with regular catch ups you always know where you are tracking vs your budget. We have created a scheme that is simple, competitive and importantly transparent.
Our three founders...Caroline Phillips, Greg Wellman and Felix Meller. Caroline & Greg lead our Finance & Accounting team, and Felix leads our Strategy & Commercial team. Matthew Gunn - Business Manager Matthew looks after some key accounts for Agora such as Dixons Carphone PLC; Photobox; and Dr Martens...as well as growing our presence in the scale-up space. Matt has done some great work successfully partnering brands such as WIT Fitness; Away Travel; and Airsorted. Amy Andrews - Consultant Amy is a specialist in the part-qualified market and has a successful track record managing accounts such as Liberty's; Selfridges; and Sweaty Betty. Lizzy Drewry - Researcher. Lizzy previously worked for another recruitment firm focused on the Private Equity space and now sources candidates for us across finance. Hannah Moodie - Researcher Hannah works with Felix on Strategy and Commercial appointments but is already building her own desk of clients.
