Founded in 2011, Usurpo originally focused on the cyber security software market before moving into the Enterprise Software space in 2016. In 2018 we launched our technical and interim division (IT and IT contract focus). 2019 saw the launch of our Life Sciences function which supports VC backed biotech companies hire executive talent, on a retained basis. In 2021 we are growing all divisions with the addition of building a contract appointments team within Life Sciences. Whilst Usurpo has 2 UK offices (Reading and sunny Brighton), we serve our clients on an international basis. We have partners in 12 countries (outside of the UK), which gives us a strong unique selling point. All of our consultants can participate and take advantage of this alliance network. Why are we hiring?

2020 was an unusual year in all industries, not just recruitment, and no business has been unaffected by COVID-19. 

We are proud that Usurpo got through the storm due to solid team collaboration, trust and determination. 

The Life Sciences function was well positioned to endure the challenging, unforeseen market that COVID-19 presented.  

We have always been well equipped for remote working so this wasn’t a significant change for our working practices.  

The start of 2021 has seen significant and consistent traction in all of our markets, and we're in a position to make up for lost time and scale our business as we had projected for last year.

We're a scaling start up (although a very well established one at that!) so there's a genuine opportunity to build and lead either a Contract team or vertical focused Search team.

Setting you up for success..

- Ideally you'll have 12 months + Recruitment experience, and you'll be confident generating your revenue through new business development over 'house accounts' 

- Having a Life Sciences recruitment background would be great, but isn't a must – maybe you're coming from another technical, science driven industry like Aerospace, Defense, Artificial intelligence etc. 

- If you've made it through last year, it's probably fair to say that you see Recruitment as your career, and not just a 'Job'. Having survived a rough time for the market, you appreciate the value of internal mentorship and collaboration

- We provide you with the platform and incentives to continually develop and earn exceptionally well, so it's important you're motivated by this oportunity for growth!

- University isn’t for everybody, so we don't need you to be a graduate. But you'll take pride in your credibility and presentation, and enjoy building relationships with very senior industry professionals

Individual Comms...

* £0 - £4,999 = 0% to threshold (no roll- over/ deficit)

* £5,000 - £9,999 = 10% of ALL your billings (yup, back to the first £1)

* £10,000 – £14,999 = 15% of ALL your billings (e.g. £14k = £2,100 comms)

* £15,000 - £19,999 = 20% of ALL your billings (e.g. £19k = £3,800 comms)

* £20,000+ = 40% of revenue over
